Time: Night 007
Warnings: See above? And FAIL OP LIKE WOAH, SORRY.
Koizumi had never paid much attention to the construction noises at night. They didn't seem to be very important, except as an indicator that the house was still alive and well. At this point in time, the residents seemed much more important to investigate. But he was forced to reconsider when he spent more than five minutes in the blue kitchen tonight.
It wasn't that it was particularly unusual or startling, but the sheer volume threw him off. He rummaged through the cabinets looking for interesting things to throw in a stir-fry, but the overwhelming drilling and pounding kept interrupting his thought process and he found himself pulling out a can of cherry pie filling instead of mixed vegetables during particularly loud burst of drilling.
"We ought to look into that later," he suggested after it ended, glancing over at Mio and Zetsu as he placed the can back in the cabinets and pulled out the right one. "I haven't heard much variation in the construction before; it may be worth investigating, if you two are up for it."
Aha. This was much better.
"I suppose we'd need some sort of light source to take down with us... that shouldn't be too difficult though, should it?"
He expected that they could make a fire in the fireplace and prepare some torches, which also would be handy weapons if the need arose.
