Setting: Grand Room
Time: Night 008
Summary: It's a dark night- the perfect time for a reunion between the boy who used to be a monster and the girl who's living like one.
Warnings: Nothing at the moment.
Once she'd gotten over her brief spasm of sadness, Trucy had gotten as far from the piano as the room would allow, curling up under what she assumed was a table- or a high bench; she wasn't sure what exactly it was -to attempt passing more of the darkened hours with sleep, provided it was merciful enough to come to her tonight.
Fortunately, it was, and though it was the dreamless, restless sort that leaves one tossing and turning uncomfortably- as though being asleep on the hard floor wasn't uncomfortable enough -it was oddly refreshing, if not too short a doze for her liking. Many times she found herself surfacing back to the odd house's reality, and willed the sleep to come back. Several times it did, but after a while, easing back down into any sort of sleep became impossible. She'd used up her alloted escape hours- had it been hours? she didn't know -and consciousness was persistently knocking a beat against the inside of her still-closed eyes.
Not that it mattered. It was just as pitch behind her eyelids as it was beyond them. Why should she bother opening them again at all? It was pointless. She could just get used to being visually useless. Her fingers and ears had so much more purpose than those heavy orbs swirling in the sockets of her upper face these days. She didn't need them at all. She probably never would again.
This house was just too much.
