Warnings: Crawling boy asldkfjaslfd DDD:
Sasuke was blinded awake from the light in the hallway. It was yellowish, which meant the sun must have set, because sunlight was white. When the sun set, the monsters came, and this time there was no Itachi and no Kairi. He was by himself.
He had prepared a stash of food beforehand, like he always did when the sun began to set. Last time, the eyes on the wall were safe, but tonight he was not being watched. The door was open though, and that meant monsters could get inside. He ought to close that.
Sasuke pushed back the covers and crawled across his bed, but just as he did that a rapid scuttling sound came from the floor. From where he sat, he had just barely seen something pull itself across the floor from the door. The hallway light didn't light it up enough to see what it was exactly, but the outline of a form Sasuke did see sent chills down his spine.
It was obvious where the thing was now: under his bed. He couldn't set a foot down. It would pull him into the dark realm. It would eat him. It would kill him. It had him cornered. He was alone.
On the nightstand lay Sasuke's weapons pouch. He grabbed for it and pulled out the first thing he could reach. A shuriken- good enough. He held it over the edge of the bed, keeping himself a good distance from it.
"Show your face and I'll kill you," he hissed at it. He wished he was as brave as he sounded.
I'm hungry, it whispered back. It's voice was glottal and chilling, but more than that, it was a child's voice.
Sasuke's grip on the weapon failed him. He screamed.
