Characters: Namine, open
Setting: East Hallway
Time: Day one, morning
Summary: Namine has a (cautious) look around
Namine really, really needed to chill out. Even after leaving the Grand Room and the others behind, she was still on edge. Getting 'kidnapped' could do that to a person. And even though she hadn't seen anyone and the chances of a gun-toting home owner appearing out of thin air were very slim, she still just couldn't help peering around corners before passing.
Her investigation had first lead her through a lovely dining room to a pleasant kitchen, well stocked and equipped. That path had lead to a dead end, so she'd gone back (carefully avoiding contact with anyone else) and passed into the East Wing. At first she'd been hesitant to open any doors, in case there really was an owner somewhere, but if she didn't, then she'd never know if there was anything to fear or not. She'd stood in front of the first one she came to for some time, bouncing her weight between one foot and the other agitatedly before finally reaching out and opening the door.
It had turned out to be a library. Curious though she was, she made no attempt to enter, as if the doorframe was some kind of impassable border, or perhaps a cliff edge. She'd called out a hushed, half-hearted, "H-hello...?" but it received no response. She'd shut the door very carefully as though trying to avoid waking someone and edged her way to the door across the hall, which turned out to lead to a cozy study - also empty. Simultaneously frustrated and relieved, she'd made her way up the stairs to another hall.
Now she stood before yet another closed door, pondering whether to check in that room as well or go back to the Grand Room and hope someone showed up that actually knew something, her face set in a frown and her eyes scrutinizing the grain of the wood.
