Setting: Green Kitchen, possibly moving
Time: Night 020, after Mello's second death for the night
Summary: Mello wakes up from dying, runs into Mio, and tries to get things accomplished.
Warnings: Probable language, Burnyman?
Mello awoke without the slightest clue about where the hell he was, and it took him a few minutes to figure out he was in the attic. ...The attic? He didn't remember going to sleep there. He never slept in the attic. Did this mean... that he had died?
But how? He didn't remember having died. In fact, he barely recalled what had even happened before he'd woken up here. Last he remembered, he could swear he'd been in the bathroom. And he was sure there had been someone else in there with him-- though he didn't know who it had been. He didn't think he knew them, but he couldn't remember their face-- but that was beyond the point. He was in the bathroom... and he'd been looking for something. Yes, looking for something, but... what?
It took a little while before the answer finally hit him. Medical supplies. He'd been looking for bandages and shit, because he'd been hurt. He'd been attacked by the burning man after he picked up one of those fiery orbs to try and keep monsters away, and all he could really remember after that was that he'd been in a fucking ton of pain. And he could swear those butterflies had been swarming him the entire time, but more importantly, he had been in pain and had been looking for something to treat his wounds with. The events were blurry in his mind, and he couldn't really remember how it had happened, but he must have died somewhere along the way.
For a long while, he just sat there in some sort of shock, reflecting on what had just happened; even if he didn't remember it very well, it disturbed him. He didn't know how long it was before he finally decided to get up and leave the attic, and try to collect his thoughts. He took the stairs down to Ira; he didn't really want to go back to the main house just yet. Not until he got his mind straight, at least... then, maybe, he'd go back and try and figure out what happened. But he had to get his thoughts straight first. Maybe he'd go get some water or something... Yeah that was a good idea. Water... He made his way to the kitchen-- being very careful to avoid the damn butterflies this time, because the very best thing that had come from them swarming him the first time had been that they were fucking annoying as hell-- and, upon having gotten there, began to look through the cabinets for a cup.
