Setting: Starting in the Lavender Bedroom, moving from there
Time: Late into Night 004
Summary: Alphonse ends up alone again, Red helps him get new 'eyes'
Warnings: Messing with souls?
First of all, Alphonse wasn't even sure how he'd ended up alone again. He felt like there had been nothing to force him and his brother apart, and yet here he was - alone. Surely, there was no way Edward had purposely left him behind, though, and the thought honestly never occurred to Alphonse. His brother wouldn't do something like that - not to him, not to anyone.
He was doubled over, a little bit, trying to catch his breath as he hid in the room he'd ducked into. He couldn't have seen the monsters, of course, but he'd heard them, and had quickly run for a nearby room, hoping to get out of the way before he was really heard or seen himself. He didn't even know where he was, anymore.
But it was silent. He wiped at his face, over the bandages as he tried to regain his composure. There was nothing there. He was safe, if only for now - he could figure everything else out later. For now he'd just...catch his breath and 'explore' this room. He thought he heard something, suddenly and froze up where he stood. Had that been...a voice? But he shook it off, deciding it was probably just anxiety, at this point.
He made his way along the wall of the room, carefully, listening and feeling, and trying to take advantage of what he'd learnt about navigation. Eventually he...came to a bookshelf - but those seemed to be dolls of some kind, on them. He paused for a moment, and ran his gloved hands over one, feeling over the long extensions (ears? a tail?) on what he assumed, now, was a stuffed animal. He ran his hands over what seemed to be the face, feeling the beady eyes under his fingertips.
And suddenly an idea hit him - it was risky, maybe, but this seemed like a situation where he ought to take the risk. If he could just use a little bit...
